▲ I really wish The 100 would pay more attention to continuity and realism… Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the show (obvs), but some stuff has me questioning how much attention they expect us to pay when it seems like they might be cutting corners? Like, realistic injuries (how the flip are half of these people still alive fOR REAL??) and sequence of events.. idk, it’s mostly little stuff and probs comes from my aspiring fx artist-y eagle-eye for little details like when did you have time to—- wHY’D YOU BRAID YOUR HAIR BEFORE BATTLE!?
▲ I really don’t like how mandatory it is for almost all aspects of rp to be “aesthetically-pleasing” nowadays… I mean, I’m as guilty of it all as the next guy, but it’s gotten sooo exhausting trying to keep up with the fancy pantsy urls (it’s really hard to be a special snowflake), icons (i’m still wasting more time deciding on how my icons should look than rping.. oh and remember when not every graphic we’d thread with had to be 100x100?) , the promo graphics (which should be helpful in finding partners, but sometimes just feels like a way to boost our follower counts?), the themes (omfg why do we all have to be the same?? i’m still weeping like the begrudging nonconformist i am over mine tbh) and pages, the formatting (to the point of sacrificing grammar and syntax?) —— all of it. I can’t deny that I appreciate all these things and do my best to ‘keep up’ I guess, but isn’t it sad that something that we do for fun might make you feel like you’re constantly behind on the times or not “quality” or worth writing with simply because of such minutiae? I dunno… it’s probably just me because I’m so fucking slow at everything ever, but adding any more stress to doing something that should already be such a challenging, developmental, and fun thing.. just doesn’t sit right with me… wow i could go on forever about this and still not make sense here..
